My name is Jessica Peprah, and I’m the proud founder of Jpepssbeauty. Born and raised in Amsterdam, I’ve always had a passion for art and creativity. I studied fashion and became a qualified artist, which naturally led me to my love for hairstyling. Combining my background in fashion with my artistic eye, I love creating unique and beautiful hairstyles that allow my clients to express themselves through their hair. I’m a self-taught braider and a qualified hairdresser who turned my passion into a business in 2018, right after the birth of my first child.

Back then, finding a place for braiding services in Chesterfield was nearly impossible, and many of my clients had to travel long distances for the right care. That’s when I knew there was a gap I could fill.

What began as a side job from a little corner of my living room on a wooden chair has grown into a thriving business in one of Chesterfield's most interesting buildings. I’m proud to say Jpepssbeauty has evolved into a salon where we specialise in all types of braiding services, weaves, wigs, natural hair treatments, trims, and more—catered to all hair types.

Our Journey

Not long after I launched the business, I was made redundant from my job, which motivated me to fully dedicate myself to growing Jpepssbeauty. Over the years, what started as a home-based business has flourished into a full-scale salon recognised for its creativity and customer care with a little team of three. In 2023, we were honored to be named the

Second Place Regional Winner for Best New Talent at the prestigious Hair and Beauty Awards.

In 2024, Jpepssbeauty expanded to offer fully accredited national and international hair braiding courses.
